Are daylilies perennial?

    Yes! and they spread. Great plant.

    Hello. Daylilies are a perennial. I cut mine back in fall and then they come back in spring.

    Hi Jin, Yes, Daylilies are perennials and if they receive the proper amount of water each summer the root system will multiple in size so the clumps are bigger and have more blooms the next year. I have some I planted when we bought our property in 1976, they are very large patches and are covered in blooms each year. I love all the different colors and so does everyone who sees them.   • Yes, and they do spread like crazy so be careful where you plant them.
