Sending a picture would help. But if it is just a small piece all you need to do is use wood glue and glue it back. Add pressure to it as it sets with a clamp, blue painters tape or rubber bands. Kind of depends where it is and how big.

Using wood putty build it up in thin layers...don’t try to do it all in one layer. If the outer layer is smooth you’ll need to rough it up between coats. After the final layer dries sand it even with the rest of the cabinet. If you are painting you can paint now. If you are staining read tube/can of putty to make sure it accepts stain as most do not. Matching the color of the cabinet will be the hardest part. You can mix different colors of stain to get the color right. Just make sure the stains you use are the same type...water based or oil based. Don’t forget that stain colors darken as they dry and darker still when the finish is applied.

If it is small you can use wood putty to rebuild the corner, then sand it even with the cabinet and refinish.

If you are going to paint, you can use bondo. If you are going to stain then use a wood putty with stain to match. Once it dries, putty doesn't take the stain.
