Is Creeping Charlie in your lawn a good thing or a bad thing?
Is there a sure-fire way to get rid of Creeping Charley?
You can kill any green plant with the weed killer we use (we have to be careful not to hit what we want to grow): 1 gallon of vinegar, 2 cups of Epsom salts, 1/3 cup Dawn dish soap (blue kind). Spray early in the morning and let the sun hit it all day. It will be dead by eve. Also, we weed eat or chop off the tops as much as possible so the root will especially get the weed killer soaked down on it.
White vinegar kills plants. I would try that.
Salt is not good for your soil.......only use this if your trying to rid weeds in gravel ,sidewalks, driveways. If wanting homemade weed killer use white vinegar and lemon juice. Nothing grows in the salt flats! However for this problem I'd use Roundup directly sprayed on leaf of plants you want gone, touch the leaves with the nozzle when spraying it on. It is absorbed in thru leaf down into plant killing the roots.I know most of you probably don't want to use or think it's horrible to use any chemicals but sometimes the application is needed when the plants are growing so close together. Also good for poison ivy, oak,or sumac. Just follow the safety precautions and you'll be fine. Do not spray in windy conditions. https://www.gardenmyths.com/homemade-weed-killer-roundup-vs-vinegar-vs-salt/ https://homeguides.sfgate.com/remediations-soil-becomes-salty-38732.html
