How do I get a crackle/chippy affect using Elmer's glue and milk paint

Hi can anyone tell me if you can use Elmer's glue with Milk Paint to get a crackle / chippy effect, Or does Milk paint chip on its own.I am trying to get the chippy look. Not so much the crackleThank you Mary

    If you a are painting over a previously finished piece with milk paint it will chip on it's own.

    Don’t try using glue. It will actually cause the paint to bond to your surface. Not the look you’re going for.

    Hello Mary, you could paint several layers of paint, let it dry thoroughly between coats and then hit it with a hammer or rub down in some places to get that worn over time look.
