    Homemade Glass Cleaner

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 gallon of water
    • 1/2 cup ammonia
    • 16 oz. rubbing alcohol
    • 1 teaspoon Dawn dish soap
    • a gallon jug (I used one of my favorite re-purposing containers…a Minute Maid OJ jug).
    • spray bottle

This is also Anti Fog, great for mirrors in bathroom too.

Please check your window manufacturer's website for cleaning instructions before using ammonia or alcohol based products, as it will cause fogging on some glass and can invalidate your window warranty.

Throwing it there, I was told years ago that many professional window cleaners use Joy dish detergent and a squeegee. Works great!

Outdoors: A few drops of Dawn dish liquid to a bucket of hot water will remove grease and dirt. Rinse well and use squeegee to dry, making long strokes, side to side or top to bottom. Wipe squeegee against a soft towel between swipes.

Indoors, wipe with soft wet cloth with 1 drop Dawn. Rinse with soft cloth. Squeegee or dry with microfiber cloth that has not been dried with fabric softener.
