I love to paint wooden salt and pepper grinders. They are the perfect way to add color to a kitchen of dining room. Check out how I did an ombre color wash from grey to navy on a jumbo 16+" high pepper grinder for a unique one of a kind look.

Using Fusion Mineral Paint in Midnight blue and little lamb I created an ombre effect. I painted the top half 2 coats of the soft grey little lamb and the bottom 2 coats of midnight blue. I then mixed the two colors on a plastic lid together and blended then brushed the mixture on the center area.

It took lots of blending and touch ups to get it just right to look natural but I love the ombre look

This jumbo solid wood pepper grinder will look great in so many color kitchens with its neutral ombre color scheme and curvy looks.

Here is a close up of the upper half to give a better look at the blended areas.

Do you have a wooden set that could use an update? would you choose this ombre look? Check my blog posts for many more color combos and styles as well as many other one of a kind makeovers.
