  • My mom's house has plaster walls, but not in the garage. I use a vinegar water solution and blot with a fluffy car was sponge.

Take a old t shirt and pin it over a broom. Use that to dust and wipe down the walls. Is the paint a gloss so that dust and dirt don't penetrate or absorb into the walls? If that doesn't work I would scrape them and sand them smooth, paint with gloss paint in a light color that reflects light, that would make them so much easier to keep clean.

Hi Norma, I think If you have washed them down, then you could then seal the wall and then repaint it using a Cement and Render Paint.........Don't work too hard.......

Thanks for your suggestions. The ceilings and walls are very high, and it is a 2 car garage with white paint. I have my work cut out for me.

    Hi Norma,

You certainly do! If a job is worth doing it might be worth doing it really well, then maybe it will be the last time you will Ever have to do it!............Good luck

Try a leaf blower with a high setting. If you can empty out the garage, maybe pressure wash on a low setting. I am a big fan of vinegar with baking soda & blue Dawn. If you find something that really works, post the project. I'm sure others would love for you to share any hacks you find.
