Have you been wanting your own vintage sled, but need a budget friendly version? This you can make for only $10 and in only a couple hours of your time! Hear is a super cute vintage sled replica. Lets get started!

You're first going to gather the pieces of your project. I used a few pieces of fence board!

The first step is to take the 1x5" fence board, draw 2 Skis and cut at 60" with jig saw.

Next, I painted them nickel and distressed them with the sander before I put them together.

After that, I cut 3 , 13" long 3" wide braces, nailed them to the top of each ski spacing 12" from the bottom and next one 16" the last one at 12".

Then take and cut a board at 22" cut the edges off and 2, 1/2 circles at about 2" from each end. This will be your head piece. Place that 6" down from the ski curve.

Then line up the seat pieces 36" 38" 36" with a 1/4" gap between each slat attach with a nail gun nailing it to each brace and skis. And there you have your sled!!

You can dress this sled up in a bunch of ways to add a rustic look or vintage touch with out the huge price tag. You can use it indoor or outdoor.

This sled makes a perfect backdrop for a wreath or holiday sign. Hope you like it!

These sleds are adorable! Did you also make the candle holders? If so, do you have a tutorial? Love all your decor! Thanks! 😀

Shelley, adorable as usual. Might be even easier if I had ever seen a real sled. This could be a decoration until Valentine’s Day, then there is St. Pat’s Day/Easter/Spring. I’d flip that sled upside down and use it as a silk flower and vine garden. Keep ‘em coming. ☺️
