How do I put lights up?

No gutters, no nails, no clips, how to get lights up cause the command exterior light clips do not stick to my siding due to siding is not smooth. I do not have gutters to use gutter clips. Plastic clips that attach to roof fall with snow. Nails damage and tacks i have used which i am tired of using and removing and my eaves look like pin couch ins now and tacky. I need help.

I have seen where a lot of people are using the screw in cup hooks. They do not remove them from year to year.
Yes, cup hooks work well and are not noticeable when the decorations are removed.
How about siding clips?

First year I moved into my house, I measured out and used screw in cup hooks. They have been in place for 18+ plus years and you don't even notice them when not in use. Takes me a half hour to put up outside lights. Want a photo?
Did same thing on the back patio.
