Gold Dipped Vintage Chair Makeover

I saw this little chair sitting in the driveway of a garage sale and I made my husband turn the car around so we could stop and get it! Added bonus: it was only 5 BUCKS. What a steal! I love it's rounded back and cool lines. The leather seat was ripped with the foam filling coming out and I could just tell it needed a little love. Enter me! At first I wanted to spray paint the whole thing, but after having it sit in my craft room for a while, I decided that I really liked the wood grain, even if it was a little beat up. So I decided to recover the seat and give the legs a gold dip.
After giving it a good wipe-down I unscrewed the seat base and got to work taping off the "gold-dipped" area with masking tape and newspaper to protect the rest of the chair.
