Bombay Watch Chest

I am a big Bombay Co fan especially their jewelry boxes. They are sturdy well made and a Canadian company. (yes I am a small home business from Western Canada) I love finding Bombay pieces and giving them one of a kind painted updates.

Here is a mahogany watch box they made. The inside is divided with 8 shapeable watch forms that fit neatly in the display chest. It has a sweet key hole but of course the key is long gone.

I totally visualized it in a fresh white farmhouse look which is so popular right now. I chose another Canadian company, House & Canvas Paint for my paint color; angora white.

Two coats were applied with a good synthetic brush then wet distressed to reveal the original dark stained mahogany underneath. being a chalk paint it needs to be sealed so I chose Annie Sloan clear wax and added touched of Fusion Mineral Paint black wax to give added age and dimension.

I love it and it was not long after posting that it sold with a line up wanting it if the deal fell thru. See how sweet the watches look inside?
