5 Tips to Shabby Chic Decor
Hi there, I am a great lover of shabby chic and have my bedroom and bathroom done in it. I have a lot of pink and white and rose patterns with pearls and all things romantic looking. It is the most girly of styles. Fluffy rugs are good too I just can't afford any. I would take a pic for you but I have most things taken down cause I want to paint it a creamy color.
Rachel Ashwell, the creator of the Shabby Chic brand, has several books that teach you how to decorate with her style. She loves using vintage, mismatched floral china for everyday meals. She puts fresh flowers in every room and loves old chandeliers. Furniture has chippy paint and everything is very casual. She loves slipcovered furniture and tattered ribbons. It is definitely a feminine style!
Lots of white and pastels, florals, and chippy paint. Hit the flea market and find some cute furniture to paint and distress.
