I sometimes just use bona on furniture. Bona is for hardwood floors and does not have any oily residue but really cleans it. Then when I want wood to shine I will use liquid gold because that will clean it but does have some oil in it. I would try the bona first though. It is not harsh on the wood at all. good luck

Hello Karen, Furniture Polish contains silicones which seal. Best to use Soapy water with drop of vinegar added and a Sponge/Scourer Pad. I did this with my mother in laws dining table that had a build up of polish on it. Go with the grain of the wood. You should get back down to original finish. Then buff up .

I use baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, mixed into a paste. Scrub with a soft child's toothbrush. Then wipe off and clean with furniture polish like OrangeGlo.
