I just did this the other day. I can't use harsh chemicals anymore but this worked. I use a mixture of vinegar, water, capful of hydrogen peroxide and some essential oils like maleleuca. Spray it on and let it sit for a few minutes. Then go to town scrubbing. I also just saw a home talker say they use a mix of oxyclean and water and scrub after letting it sit. bleach will also work too but just be careful....I hurt my lungs using straight bleach.

Thank you. I tried straight bleach after nothing else seemed to work. It's a very small area so I didn't really breathe in the bleach for long. I will try your other suggestions.

    Hi Cheryl,

There is a product on the market that will do this, or you could paint over the grout - same as original or try another colour to give it a pop!

I will look for a product to clean it or consider a paint. It is a small area just inside my front door so it gets alot of traffic. Thank you!
