Rub it with cooking oil using kitchen paper towel. Leave oil for an hour then polish with a soft cotton.

Make a paste with baking soda and water and mound it on the stain. Cover with plastic wrap and leave two days. Then clean with alcohol. You can also purchase a product for deep stains. They work the same way but may be effective on tough stains.

How can you get stains on Granite? I've had granite countertops for years and never once had any stain on them. Did you seal your granite? You have to seal it when it's new. Or, when you clean it. It's not that expensive and will last for years. Home Depot or Lowe's carry the product. Another thing I do is when I clean my kitchen I always wax my counters with Pledge or what ever type of furniture polish I have. Hope this helps prevent stains on your counters.

We just moved into this 4 year old home and there were stains in all three bathrooms, some looked like hair dye, some was rust. Also countertops have very large dark areas where they seemed to have more use.
