How do I fix/redo my laminated kitchen cabinets?

I have old laminated kitchen cabinets and am looking for an inexpensive way to make them look better than they do now. They are 20 years old and starting to peel. While the boxes are good the doors are showing their age and I’m trying to figure a way to make them look better until I can afford new doors.

You could consider painting them. Here is a link on the Family Handyman.
They make a special paint for cabinet and countertop makeovers. I've never personally used it but have a friend that just finished up a project with it and it looks amazing. Here is a link to what she used.
I redid our cabinets in our last home with Rustoleum restore kits and its really quite easy.They completely changed the look of the room.
