I found this wire spool I know can be re purposed into something awesome. I was thinking light fixture by I would love any ideas on some way I can use it on its side not hanging down. It has such a great design that I would love to show off. Anyone have a suggestion? Photo is just like the one I found.
I know this isn't a bird cage but most everything I found says for wood wire spools. I am including some ideas I found online. How big is this beauty? you could use it to hang jewelry from or put in small lights to make a decor for table or mantle. Please be sure to show us what you did with this.
Well you could spray it with a sealer or Paint it one or more colours and display as a piece of sculpture on it's side. You could use it as a Wine Bottle holder Flat or on side maybe with a wedge, or as is or plant pot holder and suspend with Wire or Chains sprayed the same colour. You could use a lighting kit to convert it to a lamp. Suspend it as a modern Lampshade. Suspend it on it's side and run a rope over it with 2 small buckets in which you could pop plants. Oh there are so many things you could do with it Like a chandelier of Cutlery or Crystals or necklaces etc. or even a belt or scarf holder.........................
How big is this across? That would make for a nice end table! If you could, purchase a nice round piece of glass and put some clear silicone spacers at the "spoke" junctions to keep the metal from scratching the glass and to prevent the glass from sliding off. A nice table lamp and that's it!
I'm thinking something in the order of a planter with different pots on different levels. maybe succulents. my second choice would be end table. What size is it?

I personally would not cover copper so the chandelier idea is looking like the winner or rustic look cover with layers of chicken wire the more you layer the more the actual light from bulb will be difused----Cover outside with fabric for nice shade https://www.google.com/search?q=DIY+copper+wire+hanging+lights&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS750US750&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj2hoSpq8XeAhW9wcQHHQ3OCK4Q7Al6BAgFEBM&biw=1366&bih=626 https://www.marthastewart.com/266580/custom-made-lampshades You can get light kit any hardware store or on line. On Ebay buy bulk crystals fishing line and split key rings and make chandelier get lots of crystals https://www.google.com/search?q=DIY+wire+basket+chandeliers&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS750US750&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiO992pqcXeAhUOE3wKHdn9AKcQsAR6BAgDEAE&biw=1366&bih=626
I would use glass beads, crystals and more wire to jazz it up. I did a lamp adding these elements. Included for inspiration
side table w/glass top
That would have been my vote, too. Let us know what you did?

How about topping with a piece of glass for an easy coffee table or end table? Or covering it with batting and cloth to make an ottoman?
