How do I decorate while remodeling?

My husband and I are living in the house we are remodeling for a friend while she is down south for the winter. The walls are newly sheetrocked and painted. Outlets go in this week, floor isn't done but looks farmhouse ish. The room is open living and diningroom. Ceiling is in the process of open beams and right now has foam between and ready for the wainscoting to go up.

I never decorate when remodeling.
Remodel and then decorate. When you start to decorate keep in mind what your friend likes. What colors does she like, what style, etc. Personally, I try to stay away from fades and what is trendy and stick to classic looks. Example, I am not going to put a living wall of plants in my home just because it is popular right now. What style are you going for? Pick that out and goggle that style for ideas for the decor.
you could use rugs on the unfinished floors, but decorating while remodeling you will encounter a lot of dust on decor and curtains,etc. if the house has furniture in it you could use as you wish and then move it all when you are ready to finish each area
Sorry, I just need to know how to decorate for the holidays coming up. Since we are living here till June this is where we will be. We don't feel comfortable putting up anything on the walls etc. Just giving you folks an idea of what it looks like in the middle of it all. Thanks for the advice.
Use decor that can be placed on tables or on the floor. Put up a tree and call it a day. It's one Christmas out of many. I am seriously thinking about skipping indoor decor this year.
