How do I remove the paint that bled under the tape?

Generally, it's best to remove tape about an hour after you've finished painting. Make sure the tape doesn't touch the wet wall as you remove it. In your case, wait for the paint to dry completely. If you haven't removed all of the tape yet, use a razor blade to cut away pieces of tape and raised paint.

You can try Goof Off while the paint isn't fully cured.

Hello there, Maybe you will have to resign yourself to cleaning it off with the nail polish remover and re-staining and varnishing the trims. Sorry No miracle!

I dont think there is an easy way. I gave up and lived with the small bleed on my tape.

Cleaning vinegar and a mr.clean white sponge plus plenty of elbow grease. Worked wonders onpaint that hadbeen dryed on for a few weeks.

Get yourself a flexible metal putty knife and use that to gently scrape the bleed off.

You could try , soapy water, depending on area use different things for different places. eg. small scrubby sponge, Cotton Wool Buds etc.

To remove paint that bled under the tape, gently scrape it off with a razor blade or sharp knife. Alternatively, try dabbing the area with rubbing alcohol or acetone on a cotton swab. You can also lightly sand the area with a fine-grit sandpaper. Always test any solvent on a small area first to avoid damage, and reapply fresh tape if needed before repainting.

Depending on where the excess paint is, you can use rubbing alcohol and an exacto knife to remove dried paint. When using tape you have to remember to seal it really well by pressing it down with something flat. I use a butter knife then seal the tape with the first color then paint over it.

Try scraping it off, a sharp edge such as a single edged razor blade.
