How to make a harder ice cream?

I had made some ice cream in the ice cream maker and churned it for about 45 minutes it was still to soft. Do I use more heavy whipping cream?

No that will just make it softer and possibly even more "soupy." What was the recipe?

  No eggs to bind the ingredients. All you will ever get is a soft serve ice cream. Try a custard base recipe and see if that works better. I always add a pinch of salt whether the recipe calls for it or not. Try some of these:
