Can you stain magic mud?

Sorry but the only thing I could find regarding magic mud has to do with tooth polishing. Could you explain what magic mud is please?
Hi Jane, I am assuming you mean wood putty which fills in spots and gets hard. Yes you can stain it but it is hard to get it to match perfectly. They also make a putty that will match different stain colors.
