Buy a utility rod or small curtain pole and add butchers hooks to hang pots on( providing they have holes in the handles. You can also buy lid holders.

  • For the lower cabinets, I bought jelly roll or cookie sheets that fit the opening. Then I piled my pots and pans on top. Now I pull out like a drawer to get what I need rather than getting down on my hands and knees to dig around for what I need.

    Hello.

With downsizing I lost the pullout shelves, I stack mine and cut up a thick foam yoga mat circles to pad each layer:pot or pan —in the nested fashion. My cookware is enamel coated cast iron and some protection from chipping is beneficial.

I only have big drawers in my kitchen; no shelves at all. But if I had shelves I’d mount hardware and make them into rolling shelves. If that wasn’t an option I’d buy large plastic bins, as close to the size of the lower shelf space and use them like drawers. This will keep you off hand and knee to reach the back of the cabinet. If possible I’d place skillets on edge like file folders. Same with the lids. You could use bins for the first shelf too if you choose.
