  • What do instructions say? I would make sure it is damp enough to keep the bottom of the plant damp so that it sprouts.

    Hi Barbara,

I'm Linda and I'm wondering if this is the project that you're thinking about. If not, please let us know with more information. Thanks!

      Hi Barbara,

The Hometalk member's article said that the one they had was a kit, too I know they don't say the exact amount of water and I think the reason for that is that it depends on how wet the soil is and how much moisture is in the room. You'd probably would have had the same kind of directions if it were in your kit. If possible, you could call the manufacturer of the kit to see if they can give you an exact amount. You could also ask your question on the project page where it says "Ask a question". I do see that this Hometalk member has a paragraph about watering and I suspect that is the most help you're going to find. :(

I also tried looking for how much water to add to compressed planting medium but most of them just said "add water". Frustrating - I know. I finally found one that said "about 10 times it's volume". Maybe that will help. Here's that video"
