How do I fix my dishwasher?

Nadina...Was there a lot of water in it after cleaning...maybe you need to put on drain or rinse to start ???????????????

If the water level is too high it may have triggered a shut down mode to prevent overflow. Try bailing out some of the water before starting the drain cycle again.

Drain as much water as possible, using a turkey baster or a child's large water blaster toy, then try restarting on short cycle with a few items inside.

While cleaning, you may have clogged the food strainers. Check to insure they are free of all residue.

So , I cleaned the filter ,checked the float,I even shut the breaker off to try and reset. Still nothing .

Ok...so this is a total WAG idea....since you haven't used it for a few months, is it possible the drain hose clogged up with something? Can you disconnect it at the sink side and try shaking it out? ...or just feel it...is it heavy like water is trapped in it?

You may be forced to have a service call. Since it makes a faint noise, I wonder if something is wrong with a solenoid? Today's machines can be more complicated than those of 25 years ago.

Please let us know how you remedy this.
