Wrap bottom 4" of stems with folded newspaper which youlve cut on a 45 degree angle. Secure with scotch tape. Put crushed eggshells and Epsom salts in planting hole with fertilizer.Dust food grade (not the type used for pools) diatomaceous earth in a circle, outside of plant. Use floating row covers, if necessary.

    Hi Rhonda,

Thanks for asking this question. Go to Google and look up "companion plants".

You will receive a list of what to plant with your tomatoes that will naturally repel pests. In our instance we plant Marigolds to repel the pests, works great...go for it!

I've planted thyme along with the tomatoes and had very few tomato worms.

EarthWworms die from coffee grounds, so you should always have 3lbs of coffee grounds to mix with each bag of manure. You can collect 40 lbs of Of coffee grounds a year if you save your old 48 oz. coffee containers to dump your coffee grounds into daily.
