I use the electronic pest controllers you get at Lowe's or Home Depot. These work great at keeping them out. If you already have them....first and foremost, find where they are coming in. Mine were getting in thru the place behind the fridge where the water valve is, for the ice maker.

    Good luck!!

Definitely check your house for any possible entry from the outside. I have an old house and they were coming in from a hole where the oil tank filling pipe used to be. There were actually to pipe holes but only one was covered. Good luck!!!

    Hi,

Despite my very best efforts at keeping mice out, we live near woods and water and their are lots of snakes and mice nearby, looking for a cozy home. I fight them in all ways possible ,and yes I do have dogs. I also use the electronic plug-ins from Lowes, check for any possible entry point (the dryer vent, airconditioning pipes, gaps under doors, etc) and I spray a peppermint spray that I bought from Amazon. I am sure you could make your own using a mint essential oil. If I see evidence that one or more is in the house I use black plastic traps and only put them under the furniture where my dogs cannot get them. Also I make sure no food is available to them. Good luck!

You can also try stuffing steel wool in any hole you can find, no matter how small.
