A STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL ON CREATING A DIY HAPPY HOLIDAYS WOOD SIGN WITH LIGHTS, THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS HOME DECORATION.

Visit the blog post to see all the materials and tools used for the project.

First step to create the sign is making the wooden letters. This is done by using 1/4" MDF and a Jig Saw. See the post for a video tutorial.

After the letters are cut drill 5/16" holes for where the lights will be placed. Then sand the letters with sandpaper.

Next is painting the letters and side trim for the frame.

After is creating the frame for the sign. This is done by attaching two boards together. Then adding the trim around the sides.

Now its time to attach the letters. Layout the letters then mark where the light holes will be on the frame. Drill those holes with 3/8" drill bit then glue the letters to the frame.

Next is adding the lights to the frame.

And that the quick process of creating the sign. Be sure to check out the blog post to see more detailed instructions and things you should not do while creating the sign.
