I love to have my family over on Thanksgiving day. I plan ahead and am always on the lookout for new ideas. I have wanted to do a blue theme for several years. So I jumped in.

I had a large real pumpkin and so I painted it blue. I also painted a couple of artificial pumpkins blue at well.

I found dinner plates for $3 each. I found chargers at hobby lobby for $2 each. I used a white table cloth with a grey runner.

Then I painted dinner pinecones white. The formula is 2 parts paint (buttermilk) to one part water. Dip them in and set them to dry on wax paper. I put it together then made some napkin rings. I used wooden rings and my husband drilled a hole in each one. Then I put a flower through the hole and glued it to hold.

I had blue goblets which matched perfectly.

I placed the silver on the table and used some blue mesh ribbon from Dollar store. I am absolutely thrilled with the results.

The wooden dowel is our thankful stick which we pass around and share our gratitude with.
