Hi Hope. Unless you plan on selling your home, always,always choose your favorite colors first, then adjust the tone of the color to compliment any other rooms it may be open to. Whatever makes you feel happy is the right choice.
Hello Hope! There are so many beautiful colors to choose from for your home. I tend to go with conservative colors, you know off-white, beige, pale yellow because I don't have to worry so about what will match the walls. Just go to Home Depot or your favorite paint store and be sure to get several samples of color strips and then you can decide from that what colors you really like. Just pick out colors you really like and take your time deciding. My best to you. I know you will do well.

Depends on what colors are already in there (countertops, cabinets, flooring, etc) and what color you like. I always choose colors that I love to make a kitchen feel happier. So if hot pink makes your heart happy, go for it. If white gets you going, do that!
