How can I make 'presents' for outside using boxes that will sustain we

Renae I’ve often wondered this too. My neighbor uses bins and places the open part to the bottom.

She wraps them and tapes the edges inside the box but don’t wrap the bottom.

The paper stays on. Sometimes she uses solid dollar store table cloths since it’s waterproof.

Then make a big bow to affix on them.

Wrap boxes with plastic tablecloths from the dollar store!

I used to pass a house that had them made of luan plywood. They were painted with exterior paint and they added glitter "stripes" for ribbon. They had a small spotlight on them and I know they were out there for 10 years. After 2 or 3 years, I stopped when I saw a car in the driveway and I asked about them. Still haven't had the time to make them myself but would love to.
