How do I get rid of a rust ring in the toilet bowl?

Put something in the bottom of the toilet to hold water in like a rag .then fill water up past rust line .you need 1/4 cup borax and 1 cup of vinagar let sit mix well with toilet brush let sit 20 min them rub with toilet brush take rag out and flush .

You might try Bar Keeper's Friend dry cleaner. It looks like ajax or comet but it doesn't scratch anything, even drinking glasses. It removes rust type stains on car bumpers, even a small one on a wedding dress!! There is a chemical reaction and some scrubbing but I've used it a lot and I love it!

Realize, that a porcelain commode, the porcelain does not rust. There is a calcium and or mineral deposits that is left on the surface of the porcelain, that’s what’s making the brown ring. I had the same problem until I found the new Lysol 10X cleaning power. Just squirt it in & let it sit for a brief time & then just swish it around the stain & under the rim, don't forget the bottom of the bowl. Flush & my ring was gone.

I buy a product called whink squirt it on rust is gone

I use whink one squirt and rust is gone can get it almost any hardware store
