How do you gat rid of fleas using a home remedy?

Fleas, I hate them!

Borax will eat through the eggs if you sprinkle it in the carpet.

Fleas can multiply like crazy and you may need a commercial fogger if it's bad.

There are more natural ones out there but I’ve found vacuuming a lot, helps as well.

Kill everyone you see because it doesn’t take much for them to take over.

If you live where it’s getting cooler now that will help control them.

Also, keeping your grass cut low and no

high grass or weedy areas.

Check pets and look into flea and tic treatments for them.

Hi this is Peggy. As a pet owner I know about pesky fleas. First you must treat all your animals. I get the flea repellent from my vet (you put it on their neck every month).. Please be careful what flea killer- repellent you use some of the cheaper ones can make you pets sick or could even kill them. When your home is empty of all living creatures you can "bomb" it with special flea bombs. Be sure everyone is out of the house and you must read directions on how long to stay out of the house. Vacuum before and after bombing your home and be sure to take the vacuum dust outside and put it in the trash. I am sorry you are dealing with this, but the animals give so much to us it is worth it for me. Good luck.

If you have laurel bushes growing near, put laurel branches under your furniture. It smells nice to people. The leaves look like basil and can also be used in place of basil. Never tried putting basil leaves around though.

Anything you do to repel the fleas like washing your dog in flea shampoo and putting down Borax, has to be done every two weeks for a few weeks as the eggs will hatch and you'll have a new crop of fleas. Just doing it one time will not get rid of all the eggs. Then put your dog on a flea monthly preventative.
