Do you have a boring wood magazine rack? Are you a farmhouse fan? If so please follow this post on changing the plain light wood magazine rack into a farmhouse feature.

There are so many boring old wood magazine racks out there and what better way to inject a bit of style into your home then the highly trending farmhouse. This solid wood magazine rack was given such an update.

Always start by cleaning your painting project well and letting dry.

I applied 3 coats of Fusion Mineral Paint in raw silk. Even on light wood, white paint requires many coats for a nice opaque color. I was also working on another Rae Dun inspired bread box in the same color at the same time.

For this piece I did not distress or add ageing wax but rather stuck to the popular farmhouse white feel. It turned out lovely and adds a fresh feel to any room needing a storage spot for magazines or books close at hand.

This classic white look is timeless and gives this wood rack many more years of use while looking fresh clean and fun.
