How do I know which kind of paint to use on my kitchen cupboards?

I would do a google search for such a paint. I know they exist but the brand name is escaping me at the moment.
Type of paint is determined by the surface of your cabinets. Wood? Laminate?
Some people like chalk paint, but I am not a fan. You need to wax or poly over for durability.
A good semi gloss or gloss paint is easy to clean once cured.
Head over to a "real" paint store like Sherwin Williams or Dunn Edwards. They can walk you through each step. It is a big job that will take a chunk of time and patience.

Kitchen cabinets get a lot of wear and tear.
Paint telescopes all the imperfections under it and woodgrain hides them.
So, if you don’t want to sand, then you’ll have to clean the cabinets with something that removes all the grease & food residues. TSP & then rubbing alcolohol, might be enough.
Need a very good Binding Primer, like a Zinzer Primer.
Need very good brushes & small rollers because the upper cabinets are right at eye level.
Latex enamel, semi gloss is scrubbable. 2 coats. Chalk paint is not scrubbable.

We used the Emerald line by Sherwin-Williams on our wooden cabinets. It took to coats, self-levels, and you can wash them down with soap and water.
Hi Krista. My name is Cindy. There is a new paint on the market called Beyond Paint. No sanding, or sealing required. I have not used this paint. I want to paint our kitchen cabinets in the near future and I'm considering Beyond Paint for the job. I do not want to sand our cabinets either. Hope this helps you. Good luck Krista.
