How to take sunshade film off windows?
I've got the blue film on windows that is starting to peel and looks badly. I hear it's expensive to do professionally, so wondered if I could do it myself?

Esther, I Googled your question and this is what it said...
Give it more time, ammonia and heat to speed the process. Use a razor, such as in a paint scraper made for cleaning windows, or a straight edge razor held at an angle against the glass to scrape the film off. Use your blow dryer and spray bottle to continue spraying the film until it separates easily.
I've never done it myself, but I inquired about it re. My car tinting. They told me to get a corner started and using a spray bottle keep spraying water as you pull back slowly to loosen the adhesive. Hope it works. Let us know.
It looks like you are the first person to ask this on Hometalk. Try Pinterest or do a general search to see if the answer is to be found. If you know who the manufacturer is - give them a howdy - and ask what they would do.
Following the other suggestions should get the film off with no problems, just use patience and don't pull it off too fast or hard. You should then be able to apply a new film to the windows without a problem either. Good luck, Esther, you can do this!
