End Grain Cobble Block Wood Tile Flooring
Just wondering what people thought about our end grain wood tile flooring idea. So many different ways to lay out. What's your favorite?
Use a water based stain for inside use. Less odor and easier to work with. Then seal with at least three coats of a water based polyurethane. I prefer Minwax products.
I am a firm believer in oil for everything wood. You can use a water based stain as long as it does not have a finish in it. Some say stain and finish in one. Stay away from those. Do 2 coats of oil based poly, lightly sand between coats. Very durable.
If you're working with pine, it's best to use a primer such as Kilz or Zinnser.
