How do I care for a Prayer Plant?

My Prayer Plant is all spread out and no growth coming from within the middle section. Can I cut some and start in water? As of now the plant is healthy and about three feet across. Also very needy.

  Lovely video. My plant is healthy but no foliage ever in the middle and just long long stems with healthy leaves. I want to know if I can cut back those long stems, place them in water and replant in the center of the plant. It is just spread out over two stems of three feet each.

I don't know if you can root it or not but heck, give it a try. I have heard to root cuttngs they must be in a clear container, ie glass. good luck.
