First of all, Draw the shooting star outline the size you want it to be, then cut the lattice strips to fit the shapes of the outline. Stick together using glue and tape to hold in place till well stuck. Remove tape and paint or decorate as desired...........

How to Make A Rustic Twig Star
I would cut a star shape. Then lay the strips out face down equally spaced with a little gap between. Join with another strips across the middle and one above and below. Use glue to join. When dry, turn over. Take the star template and put onto the front, draw around then take a jigsaw saw and cut out. To get sharp pints and turns, cut from outside towards the middle. Sand edges.
