  • A generous sprinkle of baking soda all over the bottom and then pour vinegar over that. Let it do it's fizzing for a while then scrub.

A bottle of coke will probably work too. It cleans the rust off my garden shears.

Forget scrubbing. Use a dryer sheet to clean your burnt pan...

It said to clean a burnt pot/pan, simply add water, dish soap, and a dryer sheet. Let sit for one hour and the burn will dissolve and be clean.

I just pour Bicarbonate of Soda (Baking Soda?) into the pot with hot water, boil it on the stove till it almost bubbles over, leave it for a while and all the burnt parts just peel away. No problem.

Barkeeper's Friend will clean things off when other methods fail. It is similar to Comet but very fine and much more effective.

I put dish soap (Dawn) in water and bring it to a gentle simmer for a few minutes, then stir and scrape with a spoon. The burn usually comes off fairly easily. Afterwards, just scrub as usual. The only time it didn't work was burned on popcorn and my husband salvaged that pan with a grinder tool. Good luck.
