How can I solve this exterior color dilemma?

We have multi colored brick with reds, tans, blacks and browns. Our add on is hardi plank. We want to put up cedar shutters and use medium green trim but if we use green on the hardi plank then the facial boards will be the same color. The other side of the house is brick so the trim, shutters and door are the only way to add color. I want the hardi plank the green since its a lighter color now so HELP me figure out this paint color dilema.

Paint the brick and siding the same color
Almost all colors have cool and warm shades. Brown usually is a warm neutral. Brick red as well, usually is a warm color. If you want to add a color, make it a warm color such as yellow or orange. Personally I prefer a light yellow, although a light peach may go well. Your other option may be to add more white. Hopefully the green is already a warm green. Facia board usually is white, did you paint it?
Paint all the trim and shutters the medium green you want, and paint the door the lighter green of the hardy board, if you don't want to paint the brick.
brick can be stained
Painting the brick is out of the question we both actually love the brick colors because it gives us so many options. I recently saw a DIY show about staining the brick because the paint will eventually chip off but the stain will not. They said it was a better option that painting.
Today I will try and get some pictures of the brick.
Yesterday my husband made the new cedar shutters they were much cheaper to make than to buy. We spent $400.00 on the wood because I wanted the wide boards and we had to special order them. To buy the shutters would be $200.00 a set and we needed 5 sets. Today we will be staining them with cedar transparent waterproofing stain.
The green is Sherwin Williams Germinating Green it is a warm green. I will attach a picture of the green.

I have no answer except to say I wouldn't do anything to the brick either. Some brick is pretty ugly. Yours isn't. If it was my house and really wanted the green shade on the trim, I'd paint some and see how it looks. Paint colors can be changed after all. But if the shutters are cedar, even stained won't they eventually weather to gray? (A look I love but something to take into account now?)

Thank You. Our brick offers so many options which is a good thing. Over the years every time we have painted I always choose a different color because I love to change things up. My husband seems to think the cedar will age well I guess only time will tell. I hope to start painting some green this weekend weather permitting.
