Growing castor bean plants and some bulbs such as daffodils can deter moles and voles, as will treating your lawn early next spring with Grub X. It requires application before temperatures reach 50 degrees F.

If you or the neighbors are feeding birds, the scattered seed will attract voles. Earthworms and grubs are attractive to moles, but failure to eradicate them may invite skunks...

Keep you lawn free of weeds, as some seedheads also attract these rodents.
