    If it's the kind that just mimics fire and gives out no heat, yes. If products heat, I think that would require more research, fireproofing, need to add a dedicated electrical circuit and more.

    Not necessarily as above JMO, I have 3 in the house, all 3 floors have one, the illuminated metal box (produces) 72 f heat. All 3 are made from particle/press board (cheap wood). They are certified in Canada, (possible made in China) Never had any concerns or heard of any.

    Kathleen,. I don't see why not. Make sure you read all the instructions that come with the fireplace. You have to have the correct outlet it must be so far from walls, it needs some ventilition, etc. Aloha!
