3 Easy to Make Homemade Christmas Ornaments

So cute and not hard to make at all!

So easy to make these icicle ornaments! They are shiny, sparkly and you can make these in just 10 minutes!

Some thin wire, like picture frame wire or jewelry making wire will work great for these icicles! Flat mirrored jewels and hot glue!

I used a teardrop shape (I think that is what they are called). A little dab of hot glue on a jewel piece, lay the wire on that then a smidge more of glue, add another jewel on top of that quickly before the glue dries. Continue until you get the desired length you want, I did six on each and made 6 icicles total.

I have a some little pom poms that I finally found a use for! Just hot glue some into a circle and

add a bow with some more glue! That took about another 10 minutes and finished!

Next...

the Snow People! Again so easy to make! Hot glue 3 styrofoam balls together to look like a snow person.

I then added Mod Podge glow in the dark 3 coats. I let each coat dry before I added the next coat. Right after I applied the last coat (while it was still wet) I poured on iridescent glitter. If you use a colored glitter it will cover up the glow in the dark Mod Podge.

Once that was dry, I sprayed on a clear gloss polyurethane to seal the glitter. I stuck toothpicks in them to keep them up straight while drying.

Next I added small glass beads to create the smiling faces with more hot glue.

At first I was going to use some buttons and other things for hats but went with some scraps of Christmas fabric and cotton batting to make winter caps!

I cut a piece of fabric into a small triangle, wrapped it around my finger and hot glued it together, added a strip of batting around the bottom of the fabric to create a fuzzy trim. One more thing a pom pom on the top! I cut small strips of the same fabric for the scarfs and tied around the necks of the Snow people.

I hot glued the caps on their heads and they look awesome so far! Now for a carrot nose, the tip of a toothpick painted orange! Almost finished!!

I went into the yard looking for some sticks for arms, found some, broken they down to the right size and stuck 'em in the mid section with a small amount of hot glue... now they are so adorable looking and I can't wait to see how they glow on the tree! I will be decorating for Christmas this weekend and I will try to add a picture of the tree with all the new ornament on it! I will also post later this week the other 3 types of ornament I made.
