When you can't find what you're looking for at a good price just grab a can of spray paint and make it your own!

I found chargers like these chargers on sale for a pack of 6 but the only color available was gold leaf. Don't get me wrong, the gold was nice but didn't go with what I had in mind for the holidays.

I am a big fan of black and white so hammered black it is.

My dishes are white so this color will be perfect... and it will be slightly textured.

I started out by laying them out on a large piece of cardboard on the lawn.

Make sure it isn't too windy or you will end up with "stuff" in your paint.

I gave the plates 2 coats of spray paint, letting them dry between coats.

I didn't need to paint the backs because they were already black.

This textured color was just what I wanted!

When you can't find the right color, make them the right color.

I brought the chargers in the house and let them dry overnight.

The next morning I tried them out with my white dishes and they were just perfect!

The hammered black texture added to the look.

This is an easy project even the beginners can do!
