I am going to make a shooting star Christmas decoration this year, using my flagpole. I made a star several years ago with a pattern I saw on Pinterest, very easy and inexpensive using I think it was 2”x2”x8’ wood, cut down to the size you want. Not sure how I’m going to mount it to the flagpole to keep it from spinning in the wind, but tying with rope, and securing the bottom ends of the lighted tail to one of those 2”x2” strips secured to the ground with stakes maybe, should do the trick. Good luck, I know it’s going to be so impressive!
