Create unique and one of a kind Christmas ornaments from wooden pallet prfect for a rustic farmhouse tree.

First sand and cut your pallet to a size

once happy with the size, drill holes for the ribbon

To create a layered look, I painted the edges and sides using Black paint (I used Old Fashioned Milk Paint but you can use any paint you wish)

Once dry, I painted 3 coats over using white paint (again you can choose what colours suit you)

When dry, simply sand the edges to reveal the colour underneath

Start by adding your motif on top - decide what you want to write and what colours you will use. I chose to free hand the lettering - LOVE and JOY

I then using a fine brush painted over the lettering and painted a wreath around it using a combination of fine brush and a ball stylus tool to create a pattern. Once dry simply add ribbon

I went over the edges with wax to intensify teh dark colour underneath
