How can I use glass gems in windows?

Deanna, I would recommend doing this on a panel or frame and then placing it in front of your window. Betty gave you some good recommendations for how to create what you're looking for, but I think having a frame that you could put in front of the window, but still remove when you need to, would work best. That way you get the best of both worlds and you can still see through your window when you need to!

If you're asking about weatherproofing your window, I'd do that first, and then create another panel you can overlay with gems and glass pieces.

I actually have several front doors that have glass panes. I wanted to do a design using glass gems. I saw that someone posted somewhere on the site a window in a frame that looked like clear cracked glass with black grout...then added some blue glass gems one part of it. I could find it to post but maybe you get the idea. I wanted to know how they did the cracked glass effect with black grout. I have seen some pieces for sale using this method but have not had anyone write back about how to do it. I wonder also the best glue to use for the glass gems. I have used super glue..gorilla glue..but this summer's heat was so hot that some of the gems fell off. I have a couple other options..Crafters Pick THE ULTIMATE non-toxic water based super glue adheres to glass and more. Also wonder about Flex Glue. Anyone ever used these?
