    Hi Pola,

The plastic storage containers that hold cartons of milk come to mind, easy to decorate and attach together if needed. They are also easy to transport with openings for your fingers on each side. They are also stackable.

Hi Pola! This takes me back in time! My mother made me a little doll house/storage/take along in one of those round travel bags you used to be able to buy. You can find them many times in thrift stores. She papered the inside in a pretty rose print, and in different sections put little carpets down, some small furniture. The top she made compartments to put clothes in, shoes, etc. Then when I went to my grandma's house I had my dolls and all the accessories to play with. Also she made one from one of those old carry on pieces of luggage doing the same thing. I got more dolls and clothes and wanted to take them with me!! Let's check out these ideas below:

This first link is to give you some ideas what you can do with any dolls. I like how they used those plastic containers that I use for my embroidery items and craft items and how they implemented it for carrying clothes, etc. Great idea for your consideration. http://www.theorganizeddream.com/2016/06/22-brilliant-american-girl-doll-storage.html

(I really feel the old luggage idea is perfect for what I had when I was little. I know what you decide on will be really a treat. Wish I were with you making this creation. It would be fun!)

You could easily convert one of those rolling suitcases that they have for kids, or use a larger adult size if you can find one at Salvation Army. They are usually really cheap and usually still in good condition and won't be too heavy for a child to roll around. Put in some shelves and use the dollar store baskets that you would use in your silverware drawer. Try to make the shelves really close to the height of the basket and you won't have a lot of trouble with things dumping out. Put up dowels to hang doll clothes. You can kind of make them like the old Barbie cases, but on a larger scale to hold more. My mom kept my Barbie's from the sixties, cases and all. My daughter played with them, I am waiting for the granddaughters to be old enough to appreciate them and not ruin them so they can pass them on to their kids.
