If air is coming in around the window frame, I would use some clear silicone caulk around them. I use the 3M window kits to cover the inside of the windows to prevent cold air from coming from inside the frame. They are easy to use and come with the double sided tape to use to hold it on. All you need is a hairdryer and a scissors to cut the tape, film and the trim the excess once you are done. The 3M brand is much easier to work with and doesn't rip as easy as the Duck brand does, it is thicker than the duck. I would put up some insulated curtains, you can even get them at Walmart. You can take them down once it warms up in the spring.

Ginna...Not sure if I am answering your question right or not but Lowe's has plastic that you can put over your windows inside that will seal out the leaks. Just ask them to direct you to that area where you can look! Good luck!

Hi Ginna. I use 3M window insulating kits. It works well. You use double sided tape around the frame and then put the plastic on that. Last blow dry to get it tight. Good Luck!

The most clever solution I have ever seen was many years ago. An elderly woman had hung storm windows on the inside of her windows. They were hinged at the top so when it was warm outside she would swing them up to a hook in the ceiling and they were out of the way for the summer.
