These were in bad shape
They were really grungy, and the sides were bending inward. Not very classy for my new bedroom! Get tutorial here
We reinforced the sides with wood
To make them more sturdy, my husband added wood to brace the frames. Get tutorial here
Then I painted them
I used gloss paint. They had a canvas finish but it took the paint well. I did have to give them 3 coats each Get tutorial here
